I have a good amount of respect for how apple did the iPhone Duo. It's an exceptionally well thought out, designed, and polished product. As many have said before, apple's core strength is in letting other companies fool around with experimental tech. Once it becomes mature, Apple piggy-backs off that work and launches a very polished product. I feel like the only major exception to this has been "Apple Intelligence." Though, some can argue the Apple Vision Pro was another one.
